Commissioner Kim Ellis, elected in November 2008, is a 1982 graduate of Zion Chapel High School. He received certification from Spartan School in Maumee, Ohio as a chemical specialist and certification from NSS in Toledo, Ohio as a mechanical technician. He serves as a Board Director for SARCOA and Coffee County Family Services. He is also Vice President of the National Whitetail Warrior Project.
Commissioner Ellis is married to Denise and they have three children - Brandy (married to Stephen), Joshua, and Caleb. They also have two grandsons, Jaxson and Miles and a granddaughter, Presley. He is family oriented and loves to spend time with his kids and grandkids hunting, fishing, and watching Alabama football. He is also a gifted woodcrafter.
