The Recovery Organization of Coffee County (ROCC) represents the statewide Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster, commonly referred to as VOADs. The ROCC is sanctioned by and works with the Governor’s Office of Volunteer Services.
We are not a competing or exclusionary organization. Rather, we are intended to be a network for yours and other organizations that assist during disasters.
Each ROCC member organization will maintain its own identity and independence while closely collaborating with other ROCC member organizations, inter-faith, and local, state, or federal authorities.
We accomplish our mission by adhering to the following principles:
--Cooperation. We strive to foster cooperation among ROCC member organizations at all levels and in all phases of disaster.
--Coordination. Coordinate the development of disaster response policies and procedures, and, the implementation of services among ROCC member organizations. ROCC may also provide links to national and international disaster relief organizations. ROCC serves as advocate and liaison between member agencies and the State of Alabama.
We would love for your organization to join our team effort as we strive to help those affected by Hurricane Michael and prepare for future disaster that may affect our area. For more information, contact Debbie Bracewell, ROCC President, or Scotty Johnson, ROCC Vice President.
